It’s important that you organize yourself well in advance and make sure you distribute the activities throughout the planning period (approximately 12 – 14 months in advance) so that you are not overly stressed during the last few weeks before your Wedding Day. Planning and organizing yourself, well in advance would enable you to select best Toronto vendors / services for your wedding, save you thousands of dollars as well as enable you to enjoy your entire wedding experience!

So here are some tips for you to plan for your Big Day!

12 Months before your ‘Wedding Day’

  • The very first thing you need to do is to decide on the wedding date, time, and Toronto Wedding Venue. When selecting your Toronto Wedding Venue you should consider their location, service, flexibility, available facilities, cost and customer reviews as well as overall feel of how the venue will match your theme & vision! 10 Months before your ‘Wedding Day’

  • Determine who you would like to be in your Wedding Party and inform them
  • Book meetings with the shortlisted Toronto Wedding Professional and finalize your Wedding vendors.   • Draw a map to direct your guests to the Wedding Ceremony & Wedding Reception Venue (Update your website)
  • Start preparing your speeches
  • Make sure your accessories are in order (Eg:-Wedding Rings, Pillow, Garter, etc.)

1 to 2 Weeks before your ‘Wedding Day’

  • Pick up your Wedding Rings (make sure they fit properly!)
  • Finalize seating arrangements for the reception
  • Meet with your MC and brief him / her about the plans
  • Confirm out-of-town guests have transportation and accommodations
  • Meet with your Wedding Day Planner and discuss the detailed plans. Provide him / her instructions and contact information of all vendors, key contacts, emergency numbers etc.,

1 to 7 Days before your ‘Wedding Day’

  • Pack your luggage for the honeymoon
  • Make arrangement for pets during your Wedding Day / Honeymoon
  • Inform Security Company that you will be away for few days
  • Wedding ceremony rehearsal with all the participants
  • Have the rehearsal dinner
  • Inform your Wedding venue / Wedding catering company about the final guest count
  • Appoint ushers to guide guests during the Wedding ceremony & Wedding reception

1 Day before your ‘Wedding Day’

  • Give reminder calls to your main Wedding vendors, florist, bakers etc., to ensure they arrive on time to the venue and are aware of the timelines and have made all arrangements
  • Pre-pack your important articles (Rings, Marriage license etc)

On Your BIG Day!

  • Relax and remain calm! Allow approximately two to three hours for dressing, make-up and hair
  • Take a deep breath, don’t worry, and SMILE!
  • Make sure you enjoy yourself and remain on the dance floor as much as possible
